EXPERT REPAIR

To avoid stainings from spills, it is necessary to deal with them immediately. The liquids should be removed with a spoon first and then with a clean cloth. Should still some staining remain, we advise applying hair shampoo, as the protein of wool is comparable to human hair. Once the strain has been removed, elevate the wet area for quick air drying. Avoid allowing your carpet to sit damp for an extended period, as it could potentially rot the cotton foundation.

Please avoid using chemical remedies for stain removal, as they could cause possible irreversible dye run and dislocation. If shampoo is not effective, please consult a professional oriental carpet cleaner.

LIFTING RED WINE STAINS

First, it is necessary to remove the wine, using a spoon. In the second stage, use a dry towel, without rubbing. In the next stage, a solution needs to be created, using one quart of water, 2-3 drops of mild unscented colorless detergent (like Ivory Soap), and 1-2 teaspoons of plain white vinegar (nothing else). Use a clean cloth to lightly apply the solution to the carpet. Once finished use a dry towel to dry the moist area - make sure the foundation, as well as the pile, is dry.

FLOODED RUGS

Should your rug be flooded, please take immediate action. If possible, take the carpets outside, to dry them under the sunlight. Should this solution not be possible, use a water vacuum, followed by a hairdryer. Please make sure your rug is 100% dry on all sides and angles. We advise you to professionally wash and dry your rugs. For professional advice, please don't hesitate to contact us at +39 0332 284270.

CLEANING

The wool of precious rugs is lustrous, durable, and rich in natural lanolin. It is best to intrude as little as possible with this natural protection. We strongly recommend you consult with a professional when it comes to cleaning your rug. For the best possible results, we recommend a carpet cleaning specialist who is familiar with the proper cleaning of carpets. Rugs should be cleaned approximately every four to six years, and earlier if necessary.
